In 2006, Olivia Guinebault, a French cooking teacher started teaching in Shanghai for both foreigners and Chinese people the finest points of French cuisine and ran cooking classes specifically aimed at training Ayis. Her cookbook honed by the feedback from more than 200 students, provides step by step instructions, helpful tips (useful for beginners like Ayis), as well as a basic guide to western cuisine with instructions (on how to set the table and plan a dinner party). A wide range of recipes: soups, salads, salmon mango tartare, quiche lorraine, onion tart, lasagna bolognaise, chicken with kaffir lime, pork chops with cumin, roasted vegetables, fruits desserts, cakes and puddings.
